Faholo Summer Staff growth Program is an OPPORTUNITY to develop our younger generation with the tools they need for their next step. Our program will include character development classes throughout the summer that will allow personal-Proffesional-Spiritual growth in each individual.
Job Description
We want all staff to have a growing faith in Jesus Christ and the desire to live out their faith with staff and campers. Staff need to be at least 16 years old by the beginning of orientation on TBD Date. Faholo Summer staff job varies depending on the camp and level of understanding of each job and activity.

Our camp offers many adventures activities. You as a summer staff would help facilitate that activity. We offer Low Ropes, High Ropes, Zipline, Swing by Choice, Rockwall, and Go Karts. You will receive the training you need to operate these activities.
We also have water activities we offer like the beachfront, indoor pool, and outdoor pool. There are LG positions available and we would cover your on site LG training fee if you choose to be a lifeguard.

During the summer we have the opportunity to host several different camps. With that, we have a lot of turnover. You as a summer staff would be assigned to a turnover team to help us clean and get ready for the next camp.
We also help our housekeeping with morning chores, you would be assigned to a team and help service morning buildings.

There are times where the kitchen will need extra help during our big camps so sometimes you may have to step in and help!

During the summer we will have teams work together to help keep the camp beautiful. That could look like weeding one day and helping our maintenance team mulch the next day. During our low activity camp weeks we do team projects together.

This year we are excited to make a lot of changes to this program. Summer staff will look very different this year. We are adding components of life skills to the program. Throughout the summer we are inviting various speakers to come in and meet with our team weekly to help with character development in the program. We really want to invest in the future of each person that goes through this program.
Some classes we are hoping to add are:
Financial classes: Budgeting and Taxes
Handling Conflict and healthy relationships
Resume building and Interviewing
We will also incorporating team building and fun activities during this time.

Housing and meals are provided. During the summer you will be staying in our summer staff village. We have cabins that staff will be assigned to.
All your meals will be in our dining hall. We are able to accommodate any special allergies you may have.

You will have other summer staff around you that will be your team for the summer. We like to plan special activities together to build community and relationships. There is also a designated building called the Hangout and it is a place where you can hangout and play games together and watch movies.

We are looking for staff who love Jesus and are excited to share that with campers. Our staff have to be committed to our mission and to be able to work with all kinds of people. We need individuals who are flexible and are looking for ways to grow.

The first step is to apply! Your application will cover your education and work history, some questions about your skills and experience and an opportunity to share a little bit about your faith and self with us. We’ll also ask you for three references. You will need to have 2 Character references and 1 Pastoral reference filled out.
After you fill out an application, you’ll receive an email about the next steps, including instructions for scheduling an interview.
When you interview, we want to know more about you- how you engage with your faith, any hobbies you may have. We’ll also want you to share about any experience you have working or volunteering. At your interview we’ll be able to tell you about our timeline for making decisions about each applicant.

We can work with you to give you some time off over the summer. It’s helpful if candidates are able to attend all of or most of training. Please let us know about time you’ll need off as soon as possible so that we can make sure we have all the staff we need each week.
We do have a $200 bonus for staff that make it to the end of summer.

All staff need to be 16 years old by June 20th, 2026.

We will have a training week where you will have classroom trainings for the following:
High Adventures
Housekeeping
Maintenance
Kitchen
Customer Service
Once you complete the classroom portion you will begin the skills portion of each those training areas.
During this week we will also have team building time and also to show you what it means to work at Faholo. You will learn our mission statement and experience first hand what Camp Ministry is.

Yes, all members of our summer staff live on site during training and throughout the summer. With the exception of some staff, the majority of our summer staff are paired up to live in cabins over the summer.

Our summer staff is able to utilize our activities off hours. Most of our staff will utilize the water activities and gym after hours. You just have to get it approved by your summer director. We do have a work out room and a special hangout area that you will be given access to.
